Leg Club - Reminder

Patient Access to Medical Records         on-line

By 31st March 2015, all Practices are required to provide patients with on-line access to basic information which is held on their Summary Care Medical Record.

This would be via the secure on-line service patients currently use to book appointments and order repeat medication. 

We are in the process of finding more information about this facility and plan to liaise with our Patient Participation Group so that the system can be tested by patients prior to 'go-live'.

Jeans for Genes Day

On Friday 19th September 2014, the Practice will be taking part in the National Campaign, Jeans for Genes Day.

The staff will be making a donation and will be wearing jeans on this day.

There will be a donation box at reception at the Bradford on Avon Health Centre for any patients who would also like to make a donation.

Also as part of the fundraising day, 'SpongeBob Squarepants' trolley keys will be available to buy at Reception for £2 each.

The Practice is looking at the possiblity of providing a "Practice Communicator App" to patients to use via their smartphone.

'Did Not Attend' Appointment Data

During the month of August 2014, 4.2% of patients DID NOT ATTEND their routine GP appointment.

This equates to 23.1 hours of lost time for other patients to see the doctor!

On average, 7.9 appointments are wasted with the nurse every week day!

Results of Patient Survey

In February 2014, 504 patients completed the patient questionnaire, either in the surgery or via the practice website.
